Edgar Degas Little Dancer Bookmark

This bookmark is inspired by French Impressionist Edgar Degas' sculpture Little Dancer Aged Fourteen. Created in 1881, the statue caused quite an unfavorable commotion when it was exhibited because it was considered too life-like. This realism inspired countless sculptors and his influence shaped artistic ideals well into the 20th Century.
